[10.05.08] New record out TODAY, The Ne'er-Do-Wells' The Accidental Death Of An Inactivist (on shiny black ltd. 7" vinyl).
Brighton's The Ne'er-Do-Wells formed in 2005 as the propaganda wing of The Inactivist International, a revolutionary movement founded on the principle of "doing nothing for a change". With a primitive understanding of their instruments, the three members of The Ne'er-Do-Wells made minimal brutalist punk advocating masturbation, unemployment, and sharp-dressing.
The Accidental Death Of An Inactivist represents The Ne'er-Do-Wells in 3 songs. The single completes the project of The Inactivist International.
Check it out, have a listen, BUY IT here. And as with our last couple of releases, there are free MP3s with the purchase. Excellent!
[31.03.08] Remodel are back, with their second single on Sad Gnome, and our first digital only release. First track Formula is caged animal swagger and a swinging, punching riff as the band tear into the tainted world of prosaic pop - pop that punches - then hands you a hanky to wipe your bloody nose. Second track Cognoscenti has them rocking out to the disdain of fashionistas and trend-surfers, scattering harmonics and harmonies while adhering to an inherent punk-rock urgency. A double A-side not to be missed!
Watch the video, then download from iTunes.
[03.03.08] For the digitally inclined, Bad Film is now available as an MP3 release via iTunes. Don't forget though, that if you buy the beautiful shiny black 7", you'll get the MP3s for free. Pretty good deal.
[26.01.08] Lily Rae's much anticipated first single is OUT NOW! A tenderly brash slice of acoustic alt-pop, Bad Film displays the lyrical precision, full-throated delivery and raw songwriting talent for which Lily will shortly be famous. B-side, Scallywag - penned three years ago when she was just thirteen employs kitten sounds and a recorder solo to create one of the most gleefuly honest, insistently catchy acoustic guitar tracks you'll hear this year.
Buy it here. And get this: When you purchase the 7" single, we'll email you free MP3s of both tracks as a bonus! Cool, huh? (If you just want downloads though, the single will be available through iTunes and assorted digital outlets shortly).
And check out Lily's recent interview with the Von Pip Musical Express.
[18.12.07] 'tis the season etc., and this being a time of giving we've got the loveliest of Christmas e.p.s for you - to download for FREE!
